Greetings! My name is Dale, and I'm originally from the USA but now happily settled in the beautiful Philippines. With over 25 years of experience teaching English and a master’s degree in TESOL, I've had an exciting journey through various countries and educational settings.
My teaching adventure began in Korea in 2000, where I taught in both public and private schools, specializing in elementary and middle school education. I also worked closely with the office of education, conducting teacher training and organizing engaging activities for students.
Following my time in Korea, I ventured to Singapore to teach at an international college before making my way to the Philippines. Prior to the pandemic, I served as the headmaster at a prominent international English school here. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of teaching students from China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, and beyond.
Since 2010, I've been fully immersed in online teaching and absolutely love the dynamic interaction it offers with my students. My teaching expertise covers a wide range, including young learners of all levels, English grammar, reading, vocabulary, writing, and speaking. I adopt a laid-back and patient teaching style, and I enjoy adding humor, interactive games, and jokes into my lessons. I firmly believe that when students feel comfortable with their teacher, they can absorb the language more easily.
I use a diverse array of materials tailored to different proficiency levels. Whether it's fun lessons for beginners or challenging materials for advanced learners, I ensure there's something for everyone in my classes.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy staying active at the gym, cooking delicious meals, and spending quality time with my family and pets. Sports enthusiast alert—I'm an avid fan of American football and Formula 1, with the Philadelphia Eagles holding a special place in my heart.
I'm excited to embark on this learning journey together and hope to have the opportunity to be your teacher!
